Purrluxe Cat Care is a sole trader cat sitting service based in Croydon, operating across Croydon and nearby areas.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information from clients:

• Full name, address, phone number and email address
• Emergency contact details
• Veterinary practice details
• Information about your cat(s) including health and medical history
• Home access information (e.g. where your key safe is, whether you have an alarm). Key safe and alarm codes are taken in person, never through our website forms.
• Booking dates, times and visit preferences
• Payment information (bank transfer references — we do not store card details)
• Photos taken during visits (with your consent)
• CCTV and recording device disclosure information

3. Why We Collect Your Information

We collect and use your personal data for the following purposes:

• To provide cat sitting services as agreed
• To contact you during and after bookings
• To respond to enquiries and manage bookings
• To seek emergency veterinary care if needed
• To maintain records of services provided
• To process payments and issue invoices
• To comply with legal and insurance obligations

4. How We Store Your Information

Your data is stored securely and accessed only by Purrluxe Cat Care. We use password-protected devices and secure cloud storage. Paper records are kept in a locked location and destroyed securely when no longer needed.

We retain client records for 3 years after your last booking, after which they are securely deleted or destroyed.

Messages sent through our website forms are copied into our client records and then deleted from our form provider and email inbox, normally within one month.

5. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal data or share it with anyone for marketing. We share it only in these cases:

• With your veterinary practice in the event of an emergency
• With emergency services if required for the safety of your pet or property
• Where required by law or a regulatory authority

Service providers who handle data for us

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the business. They only handle your data on our instructions and must keep it secure:

• Formspree receives the details you send through our booking and client forms and forwards them to us. Formspree is based in the United States.
• IONOS hosts our website.
• Our email, messaging (e.g. WhatsApp) and cloud storage providers hold messages and records you send us or that we need to deliver your bookings.
• Google Analytics measures how visitors use our website, only if you accept analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

Some of these providers store data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where this happens, your data is protected by safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Photos & Social Media

We may take photos of your cat during visits to send you as updates. Unless you have specifically withheld consent on your Terms & Conditions form, we may occasionally share these photos on our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok). We will never share your name, address or any personal details alongside photos. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

7. CCTV & Recording Devices

Clients are required to disclose all active CCTV cameras, indoor cameras, video doorbells and any other recording devices on the property prior to or at the time of booking. Any recordings of our staff made on the property are subject to the client's own data protection obligations. Footage of our staff must not be shared publicly without explicit written consent.

8. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies to work properly. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics cookies to see how visitors use the site. We do not use advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
